Submit a Delegation Request Form
In the Town of Tillsonburg, you can request to speak at a Council meeting on a specific issue or agenda item by submitting a Delegation Request Form online.
Alternatively, you may submit your request in person to the Town Clerk at 10 Lisgar Avenue.
DEADLINE: Delegation Requests must be submitted no later than 4:30 p.m. on the Wednesday prior to the requested meeting date.
Delegation Guidelines
- The subject matter of the delegation must be within the jurisdiction of the municipality.
- Delegations are given 15 minutes to speak, including questions and answers.
- A limit of three people may be permitted at the podium at the same time.
- Deputations to Council from declaredcandidates for elected office shall not be permitted.
The Office of the Clerk will advise you if your request has been approved and will work with you to find a convenient agenda date for your delegation. All presentation materials are required by the Office of the Clerkno later than2:00 p.m. on theFriday before the Council meeting.
Individuals wishing to appear as a Deputation and who are not listed on the agenda may submit a written request, including the item on the agenda they wish to speak to, to the Town Clerk no later than 12:00 p.m. on the day of the Council Meeting.
Deputations are scheduled at the beginning of regular Council meetings and delegates are asked to arrive at the meeting location by 6:00 p.m. on the confirmed meeting date.
